The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners has awarded Westfield the contract to manage the redevelopment and management of dining, retail and amenities at Los Angeles International Airport’s Terminals 1, 2, 3, 6 and Tom Bradley International Terminal.
Our LA is an exciting dynamic environment where different cultures, different cuisines and different neighborhoods constantly enlighten us. In re-envisioning Our LAX, Westfield is creating unique experiences for each project reflecting distinctive and iconic aspects of the LA environment.
Each environment will have world-class dining and retail destinations and new traveler amenities curated to reflect the variety of LA’s neighborhood and cultural backgrounds. Through its partnership with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), Westfield will revitalize existing terminals into LA-inspired state-of-the-art gateways with layers of new boutiques, dining experiences and enriched environments.
About the Redevelopment of LAX
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the sixth busiest airport in the world and third busiest in the United States, offering more than 565 daily flights to 81 domestic cities and more than 1,000 weekly nonstop flights to 66 international destinations on more than 75 air carriers. It ranks 13th in the world in the amount of air cargo tonnage handled.
Los Angeles World Airports is in the midst of a multi-billion dollar development program of LAX. The centerpiece of the development program is the New Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) which includes new premier retail and dining by Westfield and gate areas. The new terminal opened to the public in September 2013. Additionally, there are other major projects in planning or under construction that are in support of the development program. These include a new Central Utility Plant, new taxiways and taxilanes, and major renovations and infrastructure upgrades in all of the other terminals.
